DJ Hero

I was selected by Houseparty.com to throw a DJ HERO party :)

They supplied the 2 required game boards and the disk. I also received a 24 pk of coca-cola 100 Calorie metal bottles.

I invited about 30ish people, over 20 showed up!!! We had a BLAST!!

I made bowls for the chips out of old records, and hung others from the ceiling using dental floss and staples :)

Laura's AMAZING Febreze House Party!

My mother in law was chosen to host a "house party" for the new Febreze lines. Arthur and I, as well as a wonderful lady from Laura's church and daughter came. House party sent her a huge box full of new scents and items to try!

Laura made some amazing finger snacks - fruit - veggies - and some delightful dips :)

The second to last picture is of all the freebies I got to come home with :) YAY!!!!

I was really surprised with the new products Febreze came out with! I love love love the Pomegranate Mango scent! I think the new flameless luminary "candle" is amazing! The shades hold all the scent and its batter operated candle flicker means its safe to leave on, and safe to be around my pup!

I have already put the flameless luminary and reed diffuser to good use :)

Thanks Momma Bear for inviting us to the event! We had a wonderful time, and I have put in my application for quite a few House Parties, and will make sure you can come if I'm chosen!

The sale that I THOUGHT was happening on the men's wash was Buy one for $5.99, get a RR for $5.99 (making it free), and the tag did say so - BUT.... it had fine print saying that it doesn't start until tomorrow.

I received a 10$ RR for buying 3 nutrogena products (remember I only bought 3 things @ 2.46 each) so Just in that I made $2.62!

I waited for my $5.99 RR to print for the body wash, and it didn't. So the Cashier handed me back my coupon to take to the manager for a return - I figured oh well, I'd come back tomorrow and buy it over. The manager said that I could just come in tomorrow after 2pm and she would print off my RR for me. (SO..... i got back my coupon - LOL - GUESS WHO'S BUYING ANOTHER MEN'S BODY WASH???)

Stopped at walgreens today to attempt to roll over some of my register rewards from last week.

I went to the Complete contact solution website and printed a 2$ off coupon from there (only to find out it was not the right one, and I should have looked in my RP from 5/16 - the website was a larger size) Oh well!

1st order :

Starting my training today for the Census. Rather excited, but ugg I highly dislike the 6:30AM wake up!

Quick note:

I went to Kroger last night, and picked up some breakfast sandwiches from the freezer (cant think of brand...) and when I took them to the U-SCAN, they rang up $5.49, I know the tag said $5.11 - so after the grocery clerk went and checked it out - I got it for free!

I thought they had stopped their "scan right guarantee" - but I guess I was wrong!

The free breakfast sammies went well with my free Pizza from the KROGER march madness basketball game.

First trip to CVS

Yes, that's Bentley and a stuffed bear - we will get to that shortly :)

Only went to CVS for 1 thing, but it was on the way to Frenchtown mall for Muffin's transformers hat - so I figured I would try it out!

I was a bit skeptical about CVS, not knowing how their coupon policy worked. When we got there I was lost as I could be, not sure where anything is.... and there were all these little signs about having a card or getting 2$ for prescription bonuses and all that jazz.....

Anyways, we went for the Nivea chap stick - $2.99 and you receive some kinda store credit on your next purchase for $2.99 -MAKING IT FREE- (like I said I didn't know what I was getting into - never CVS-ed before). I didn't know if it was like walgreens where you get an instant store credit or like rite aid when you have to mail the silly thing in and wait and wait.....

I had coupons for buy one Nivea, get one free....

So, I signed up for their shopper's card.

I bought my two chapsticks first, then Muffin bought a second set (I had 2 coupons) - Along with the stuffed Valentine's Day bear you see in the pics with Bentley (90% off - totally worth 59cents!!!)

I then asked the lady how the reward/rebates work, and she had to check that my items did qualify (which they did *duhhh*)

She told me the rewards are put onto your shopper's card, like a pre-paid credit card of sorts.

She then went to make sure they were on my card, but since I just got the card she couldn't upload my credit - it needed to be registered in their system - so she handed me $6.00 CASH!!! That worked out way better than the store credit - especially since CVS is in Monroe!

Off work today :) YAY!

This past week I worked @ the Woodville Rd. ALDI. It had it's ups and downs, but over all I guess it wasn't bad enough to keep me from offering my time there next week!

Saturday Muffin and I went to dinner (charlie's first - where our server forgot about us, so we walked out, then to Red Robin (YUM)!) Then we went and saw the movie Valentine's Day - too cute :)

Today Muffin and I tried a new food bank. It was WONDERFUL! The church folk were so friendly, and to make it even better - we got to wait INSIDE (opposed to waiting out in the cold like the other food bank we go to)! Here is a picture of what we got - not including what we dropped off at Momma Bear's.

Hmmm, nothing new or exciting today. Took Muffin's dad back to airport so he can get home to Oklahoma. Then rushed home to take a nap to silence my headache. Not sure what's on the agenda today. I am hoping to hear about the Jeep's gas leak, and get that taken to mom's, and all that jazz.

so, yep BORING day - i will blog later if anything exciting happens!

There is a church down the street that we go to monthly for their food basket hand out. I believe this would be the 4th month we have gone. The first time we got everything from fresh produce to a 18lb turkey breast. Each time we seem to get less and less because the turn out is growing, but we are so happy with whatever we receive.

This month we got 2- 10lb bags of potatoes, can of carrots, can of green beans, can of spaghetti sauce, can of tomatoes, container of stable shelf milk, can of apple sauce, bag of apples, a squash, a yellow pepper, 2 lemons, can of beef stew, 1 package of cranberry orange cake (loaf bread like.)

The church now has that the day after the food bank, you bring a 10$ donation to the church and they give you 10 meat items.

This month we got:

8 pork chops with bone in (one item, family sized) * we split and froze in 2s.

1 lb of bacon

family size of chicken wings

7 brats

lean ground beef- believe it was 2 lbs

2 boneless pork chops

boneless pork loin

a package of chicken brats w/ green peppers inside( gave the neighbor)

1 package of ribs

and

a package of chuck steak

*Looks like we made out like bandits!*

Last month we got brats, 2 london broils, mini cheeseburgers, 2 tubs of lunch meat, and a bunch of steak.

I can't wait to see what the feed your neighbor program has for us next week!

I worked today from 1-6pm. It was a rather interesting day... we were pretty busy, but I didn't get stuck ringing all day. I did quite a bit of stocking, and boxing (clearing the empty boxes through the store).

Muffin and I had steak, mashed potatoes, and corn for dinner :) yummmmm

Right now, Muffin's playing Left for Dead 2 on the XBOX 360, and I am boredddddd.....
